Today, six BHS students attended a regional Educators Rising conference at Northern Kentucky University. These students will be founding members of the very first chapter at BHS! ✨ Educators Rising aims at cultivating a new generation of highly skilled educators by guiding young people on a path from high school through college and into their teaching careers. The students attended breakout sessions, heard from current NKU Education Majors, and also had the opportunity to network with other potential future teachers! #LoveTheVue #TigerPRIDE

Yesterday, the prevention team collaborated with GES students during health classes to focus on enhancing self-esteem. The students engaged in activities that helped them identify what healthy self-esteem looks like, which is closely linked to academic success. Low self-esteem can manifest in several ways, such as social withdrawal, self-criticism, signs of regression, or giving up easily. Activities designed to improve self-esteem can gradually boost a student’s confidence. The students had a great time participating in all the planned activities.
