It’s KY Safe Schools Week!

This week, Bellevue Independent Schools joins schools across Kentucky in celebrating KY Safe Schools Week, September 14–18, with this year’s theme: “Strong Roots. Safe Schools.”

DAY 1: PLANT THE SEED
Creating safe, welcoming schools starts with all of us. Every student, staff member, family, and community member has a role in helping our schools remain places where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Family Action for Today: Start a conversation with your child about what it means to make safe choices and show kindness. Even a simple conversation can help plant the seeds for a stronger, safer school community.

Throughout the week, we’ll continue sharing simple ways our Bellevue families can help us grow strong roots and safe schools! Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!

We’re excited to kick off our *new* Bellevue Alumni Series, celebrating the Tigers who once walked our halls and now help make Bellevue special for the next generation!

First up: Chad Montgomery, Class of 2001!

From Friday nights in black and gold to returning home to teach, coach, and lead, Chad’s Bellevue story has come full circle. His favorite memories may include beating Beechwood 17–0 and his time in FCA, but what means the most today is getting to build relationships with Bellevue students and their families in the same community that helped shape him.

We’re grateful for the heart, dedication, and Tiger pride Chad brings to his work as our head football coach and 6–12 Health & PE teacher. Thank you, Chad, for giving back to the community that helped shape you and helping the next generation leave their own mark.
