Last night at the June Board Meeting, we honored and celebrated BMHS Assistant Principal Angie Young on her retirement!
Ms. Young has dedicated 27 years to the field of education and the last 7 of those were spent as an administrator at GES and BMHS.
Superintendent Middleton presented her with a gift and Principal Hicks read a few remarks about her career as a BISD educator:
"Angie's dedication and passion have touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on our school and community. As we say farewell, we express our deepest gratitude for her unwavering commitment and the lasting legacy she leaves behind."
Congratulations, Ms. Young!

On Monday, June 3, construction officially began on the Grandview Elementary School Gym Addition and HVAC Renovation Project. This is a 13 million dollar construction project that adds a new gym allowing for renovations to the current cafeteria and gym space to function solely as a cafeteria. The Grandview Elementary kitchen will also see much needed upgrades. In addition, the building will receive all new HVAC, mechanicals, plumbing, fire protection, flooring and lighting. The current playground will be relocated to another part of campus at the completion of the project which is expected to be completed by December 2025. We are fortunate to work with the city and have the ability to utilize playground equipment at nearby parks.
We are excited about this project and how it will better serve our students and community, but construction projects come with inconveniences. There will likely be additional noise, temporary closures, and dust. Parts of the sidewalk in front of the school will be shut down for safety reasons and help in allowing equipment and supplies to be delivered. The construction company is working closely with city officials when heavy equipment is being transported to the site .
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this exciting time and we look forward to the positive impact this project will have on our community.

Congratulations to the following Bellevue Football players who will be featuring in the Tom Potter ALL-STAR Game!
Curtis Rust
Jackson Day
Lorimar Brown
Landen Corley
Congratulations also to our coach Chad Montgomery who will be coaching one of sides!
Be sure to come out and support our players and coach! Check the flyer below for more information:

Yesterday at Beyond The Bell, we played with drones, made a veggie stir-fry, painted with watercolors, and made lightsabers!
