A Vision To See All Children Reach Their Greatest Potential For more than 25 years, Hasan has held to the belief that each child can and will succeed as long as adults in their world create hope. Starting as a counselor and a teaching artist, and through his years as a youth development specialist, Hasan has transformed the attitudes and strategies of school and facility staff, parents, and members of the community to help hundreds of children graduate from high school and go on to earn degrees from colleges and universities. In addition to his work at schools, Hasan has been Commissioner of Juvenile Justice for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Vice Chair of the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice, and an organizational consultant. With this experience, he has transformed organizations and public systems to ensure they have the capacity to not only meet the needs of the children and families they serve, but also are transparent and set metrics and methods of accountability. Part stand-up comedian, part storyteller, part statistician; Hasan invites audiences on an emotional experience. Sharing his journey from Juvenile Delinquent to Juris Doctor, Hasan is proof positive that great things can happen when adults champion the lives of children. This event is happening in place of the BMHS Block Party and Grandview Elementary's Readifest. There will be food, fun, and opportunities to meet teachers and get schedules for the upcoming year for students grades K-12. Following that, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM, guest speaker Hasan Davis will be sharing encouragement and inspiration for parents while students will have the time to play games outside with Skool Aid! This week, TJ Sorrell is continuing his senior season with Bellevue Golf with two big tournaments! Last week TJ shot a season low, one over par 72, in the Ortho Cincy Inv at AJ Jolly to finish 11th of 120 competitors! Today, our incoming 6th Graders had their orientation and learned about everything they need to know for their first year at Bellevue Middle School. Students got to pick out their lockers, meet their teachers and administrators, and learn about the expectations of a middle schooler ! Calling all member of the Class of 2031! We are inviting all of our incoming 6th Grade students to our Tiger in Training 6th Grade orientation program on Monday, August 5th from 9:00 AM - Noon. Students will meet with the 6th Grade team, set up their lockers, and learn about what it takes to be a Bellevue Tiger! Are you interested in joining Bellevue Middle School Cheer? Clinics and tryouts are coming up on Thursday, 8/1, from 6:15-7:30 PM in the BMHS Cafeteria, and Friday, 8/2, from 5-6 PM at Ben Flora Gymnasium. These are available to all incoming 6-8 graders. Athletes should wear athletic clothes and gym shoes. We hope to see you there!
