This week in science class at Grandview Elementary, Ms. Solzsmon's Third Graders asked "What can magnets do?"

They learned about vocabulary such as force, pull, magnetic, repel, and attract! They also learned what it means for things to be magnetic and how to make things magnetized, such as paperclips.

Cradle School is offered to parents and caregivers of children 12 to 36 months old. Preschool teachers will be on hand to interact with your children in an educational environment.

Today is International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration.

What started as a story in the pages of a book, The Dot by Peter Reynolds, is now transforming into creativity of all ages to re-discover the power and potential of creativity in all they do. We challenge everyone to believe in themselves and find the courage to “make your mark.”

Thank you to all the art students districtwide for participating in dot day. All elementary students Preschool- 5th grade created art on a dot while the Middle and High School art students created their own art in reaction to dot day.
