The S.M.I.L.E. Club will be continuing their mission to bring positivity to classrooms! Students are thrilled to be working on a special project to support our Middle School teachers. This week, members worked on the project together and are excited to share more details very soon!

Today in Math Class, Ms. Basselman's students worked on measuring angles with a protractor!

7th Grade Art Students created Agamographs!
These works of art are composed of two or more separate images that morph from one to the other as you pass by them.
Agamographs were invented by Yaacov Agam in 1953 and are an example of the Kinetic Art movement that students have been learning about in class.
These pieces are very interesting and creative!

📢 Attention 10th-Grade Families! 📢
(previously posted on March 17)
The 10th-Grade ACT is tomorrow and Wednesday -- April 15 & 16. Please mark your calendars and ensure your student is prepared for this important assessment.
✅ Why is this important? The ACT helps students gauge their academic progress and opens doors for future opportunities.
✅ How can students prepare? Free ACT practice tests are available online to help students get familiar with the test format and build confidence. BMHS is also hosting FLEX sessions geared towards prepping for the ACT.
✅ What can you do? Encourage your student to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive on time!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Staci Paff (Building Assessment Coordinator) or Tiffany Hicks (District Assessment Coordinator). Thank you for your support! 💛🖤 #LoveTheVue #TigerPRIDE

On Friday 4/18, the Junior Class will be participating in mock interviews. This event is a collaboration with the Haile College of Business at NKU with business students serving as interviewers. The students will be prepped on interview skills and tips on Thursday.
How can our Junior parents help their student prepare?
• Attendance is important for both Thursday and Friday
• Monitor your student’s attire. While this is “mock interviews”, part of the scoring criteria is “first impression”. They should look the part. Consider this a dress rehearsal for future interviews.
o Business casual is appropriate. Shirts with ties, or dresses are not needed for this activity.
o Shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, crocs, etc…should be avoided. Ms. Carr, FRYSC coordinator, may be able to help with clothing if needed.
• Practice these basic questions with your student. We understand that students have limited work experience. The questions could apply to work, school, athletics, service projects, etc…
o Tell me about yourself (what makes you standout out).
o Tell me about a time you showed innovation or came up with a new idea.
o Tell me about a time when you were the leader of a project and how did it turn out?
o Tell me about a time when you were behind in your work? What did you do to catch up?
o Describe a time when you took initiative. What was the outcome?
• Have a discussion with your student about your experience with interviews.
o Good or bad, students can learn from both experiences.
