Meet Laighton Ellis, a Fifth Grader at Grandview Elementary who loves her school!
Laighton says this is what she loves about Grandview:
"I get to come in every day and I get to see my friends and see the teachers that I like. I like that I get to switch classes and get a lot of different opportunities to learn instead of staying in one room all day."
Outside of school, Laighton likes to "chill and do some sports." She takes part in track, volleyball and basketball. Out of those three, she says that track or basketball has to be her favorite.
At school, she really enjoys science because "we get to learn about all types of organisms and food chains." He favorite project this year was combining a lot of food chains to create a giant food web.
With this being her last year at Grandview, Laighton has some advice for the rest of the students at the school:
"Don't give up! I know the work is sometimes hard, but you can get used to it!"
