Meet Mark O'Shea, a sixth grader at Bellevue Middle School who has been enjoying his first year out of elementary school.
Being about halfway through his first year of Middle School, Mark has had time to acclimate and find out what his favorite things about the school are. His favorite thing so far is the lockers, saying that he likes that "you get to keep all of your things separate from others" and have a space for yourself.
Outside of school, Mark loves to spend his time playing games like "Counter Strike." All of the gaming keeps his senses sharp for his favorite subject at school: math!
He says that math is "easier for him to do because it is quick." In math he especially has been enjoying multiplication and is always learning new methods to try out.
Being his first year at Bellevue Middle School, Mark has some advice for fifth graders that will be here next year. He says to "be yourself, and always stay out of trouble!" In doing that, he says that "you'll always get to hang out with your friends and have fun!"
