Meet Jackie, a sixth grader at Bellevue Middle School.
Jackie has really enjoyed the first month of her time at Bellevue Middle School. She says that her favorite thing so far has to be the lockers because she "can have her own stuff in it and not have to have it crowded against everyone else's stuff."
In class, her favorite subject so far this year has been English Language Arts with Ms. Henderson. She really enjoys the setting of Ms. Henderson's classroom and feels that she is "very good at ELA."
Outside of school, Jackie likes to play volleyball with her friends and go to cheer practice. This is her first year doing cheer and she says it has been, "really fun and exciting."
With this being her first year at Bellevue Middle School as a sixth grader, Jackie urges fifth graders who may be worried about the transition to the Middle School "not to be scared because you're going to a big school, because you're not really around the big kids." She said that when transitioning into sixth grade she thought that she was going to "not know where to go and be lost on the first day, but its kind of easy because all of your classes are right here in the 'L' shaped hall, so you can find them easily."
Jackie has been having a great time at Bellevue Middle School and is looking forward to the rest of the year.
