
Susan Short, Principal
Dr. Short is a dedicated educational leader with 22 years of experience in K-12 public schools. During these years, Dr. Short has served as a Special Education Teacher at the Middle and Elementary Levels, Coordinator of Interventions and Title 1 programs, and as an Assistant Principal. She also recently served as and Adjunct Professor at Thomas More University and as a Case Manager for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at NorthKey Community Care. Dr. Short holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University, a Master's degree in Education also from NKU, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Thomas More University.

Brandon Forshey, Assistant Principal
Mr. Forshey is entering his tenth year in education, six and a half years as a teacher and will be entering his third year as an administrator. Mr. Forshey holds a Bachelors of Science in Social Studies Education and Sports Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Masters of Education in School Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University.

Alexis Dickie, Kindergarten
Ms. Dickie will be entering her 6th year in education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. Ms. Dickie spent the first four years of her career teaching 3rd grade and this year will be her second year teaching Kindergarten at Grandview.

Abby Weyer, Kindergarten
Ms. Weyer is currently in her 5th year of teaching at GES. This is her 4th year teaching Kindergarten. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre—K through 5th Grade) from the University of Cincinnati.

Andrew Carter, First Grade
Mr. Carter is entering his fourth year in elementary education. He has spent the past three years teaching first grade and is now entering his fourth year. Mr. Carter holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Northern Kentucky university with a minor in International Studies. He also holds his Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from University of the Cumberlands.

Grace Dennis, First Grade
Mrs. Dennis is entering her 10th year of teaching. She has experience teaching multiple grade levels, including 3rd, 2nd, and 1st. She is currently a 1st grade teacher. Grace holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University.

Katie Phillips, Second Grade
Ms. Phillips is entering her 6th year in education, all at Grandview Elementary! She taught Kindergarten her first two years, and is about to start her fourth year as a 2nd grade teacher. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary education with a minor in English, and she loves all things READING!

Ashton Pitzer, Second Grade
Ms. Pitzer is in her eighth year of teaching at Grandview Elementary, where she has taught both second and third grade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. Ms. Pitzer is dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment where all students can grow academically and socially.

Kenzie Baxter, Third Grade
Ms. Baxter is entering her third year in education, all proudly spent at Grandview Elementary. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Northern Kentucky University.

Brooke Solzsmon, Third Grade
Mrs. Solzsmon is entering her 6th year in education. She spent three years teaching fifth grade and will be entering her third-year teaching third grade. Mrs. Solzsmon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University.
Brooke Goodwin, Fourth Grade
Brooke is in her fifth year of teaching and will be teaching 4th grade at Grandview. She holds a Master's in Teaching and a Bachelor's in Integrative Studies. When she isn’t at school, you can usually find her exploring with her family or in a garden. She loves coffee & animals, but teaching and seeing students smile is what she loves most!
Tatum Molley, Fourth Grade
Ms. Molley is entering her first year of teaching. She brings experience from student teaching and volunteering in preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and fourth grade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati, where she was named to the Dean’s List for seven semesters and graduated summa cum laude.

Emma Basselman, Fifth Grade
Ms. Basselman is entering her fourth year in education. She spent her first two years teaching fourth grade, and her third year teaching fourth and fifth grade. Ms. Basselman holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Elementary Education from the University of Louisville.

Addyson Gregor, Fifth Grade
Ms. Gregor is entering her second year of teaching and her second year at Bellevue. This will be her second year teaching 5th grade. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University.

Heather Foster, Art
Mrs. Foster has taught art in the Middle & High Schools for 3 years. This is her first year as the district wide art teacher. She earned her BFA from Arcadia University and MFA from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Susan Means, Library and STEM
Mrs. Means is entering her 28th year in education. This will be her 10th year as teacher-librarian at Bellevue Independent Schools. Mrs. Means holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of the Ozarks and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma. She currently serves both Grandview and Bellevue Middle/High Schools.

Chad Montgomery, Health and P.E.
Mr. Chad Montgomery is entering his 19th year in education. This will be his 3rd year working in the Bellevue Independent School District. Mr. Montgomery has a B.A from NKU with a major in PE and a minor in Health. Also earned his master’s degree from NKU for Instructional Leadership/Principal Preparation. Mr. Montgomery currently serves as the Head Football Coach.

Leighton Piper, Health and P.E.
Mr. Piper is entering his fifth year in education and his second year in the Bellevue school district. Mr. Piper received his bachelor's degree from Morehead State University and received a master's degree from the University of the Cumberlands. He currently serves as the head boys basketball coach for 7th and 8th grade, the assistant coach for the boys' high school basketball team and is the high school varsity golf coach.

Lisa Taylor, Intervention
Ms. Taylor is entering her 23rd year of teaching at Grandview Elementary. She has spent 22 years in the classroom and will be entering this year as the Reading interventionist. Ms. Taylor holds her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from NKU in Elementary Education.

Stephanie Taylor, Special Education
Mrs. Taylor is entering her 26th year in education. This will be her 4th year working in the Bellevue Independent School District. Mrs.
Taylor earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in special education from Morehead State University and also earned a Master's degree from NKU.

Nicole Wehrman, Special Education
Mrs. Wehrman is entering her 24th year in education. This will be her 3rd year working in the Bellevue Independent School District. Mrs. Wehrman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in special education. She also earned a Master’s degree from NKU in reading instruction.
