About Mrs. Middleton

Misty Middleton grew up in Grant County and graduated from Grant County High School in 1991. She attended Northern Kentucky University where she obtained a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career at Dry Ridge Elementary School teaching 3rd and 4th grade students. Misty moved to Williamstown Elementary in 2003 in order to be in the same school district her daughter, Carly, was attending. For 19 years, Misty worked in the Williamstown School District and held various roles as teacher, assistant principal, preschool/head start director, instructional supervisor, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. She has many fond memories of her time in Williamstown and enjoyed working alongside great students and staff.

On July 1, 2022, Misty began her tenure at Bellevue Independent and has grown to love the community and people of Bellevue. She looks forward to working with all staff and stakeholders to achieve the vision, mission, and goals.

She holds a Master's of Arts in Education from Georgetown College and completed her Rank 1 and other certifications from Eastern Kentucky University.

Misty has been married to Greg for 28 years and they have two daughters. Carly teaches public speaking and communications at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and Haley is a senior at NKU, graduating in May 2024 with a BSN RN degree.

In her spare time, Misty enjoys playing golf, taking walks or hikes, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
